This city garden was bearly accessible because of large, overgrown shrubs and a De toegang tot deze stadstuin werd verhinderd door sterk overgroeide struiken en a lush trumpet flower that needed some support. The brick planters all around made the garden even smaller. There was pruning, clearing, demolition.
1 planter was kept but shortened.
A multi-stemmed Cornus mas ensures early flowering and tasty fruits for people and animals.
The trumpet flower needed extra support. The climbing support also had to serve as a CrossFit power rack. Later, a small swing can also be hung from it.
Charmed by the red brick walls, the colour red was extended to the new paving: reddish-brown concrete tiles at the bottom and terracotta tiles at the top.
A good mix between native, nectar- and pollen-rich plants, evergreens and deciduous plants.
A Clematis vitalba will vertical green to the wooden fencing. Progress pictures:
